Your public profile is a web page for your business at chippieapp.com/b/your-business. It
shows what you do and where, your photos and contact details, and a Request a quote form.
It's on every plan, including Free.
Turning it on
- Open Settings and go to the Public Profile tab.
- Switch on Show my public profile.
- Fill in About your business (up to 600 characters) and Service area, for example "Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens". The page reads "[your trade] in [your service area]". Your street address is never shown in its place.
- Tap Save public profile.
Add up to 8 photos of your work in the Photos card. They upload as soon as you choose them.
Your web address
Leave Web address blank and Chippie makes one from your business name. To choose your own, use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. Changing it breaks any links you have already shared.
Sharing your link
Your profile link has a Copy link button. Put it on your Facebook page, Google listing and email signature.
When you can't answer a call, reply with your link. Open Can't answer a call? Reply with your link for a ready-made message, and save it as a quick reply on your phone:
- iPhone: Settings > Apps > Phone > Respond with Text.
- Android: Phone app > ⋮ > Settings > Quick responses (on Samsung, Quick decline messages).
Quote requests
Clients fill in their name, phone and address, and can add an email, a message and photos. Each request arrives in Enquiries and your team is notified.
The Find a tradie map
With your profile switched on and an address saved for your business, you appear on Chippie's
public map at chippieapp.com/find, linking to your profile. If your business is already listed
there, open its listing and claim it: Chippie emails a code to the listing's address, and from
then on its enquiries come to your Chippie inbox.
