Send jobs and enquiries from GoHighLevel, Zapier, Make or Google Ads
Create a private address in Settings, Integrations and paste it into GoHighLevel, Zapier, Make or a Google Ads lead form. What they send lands in Chippie as an enquiry, or as a client and a job.
Contents
Create a private address in Chippie and paste it into GoHighLevel, Zapier, Make or a Google Ads lead form: whatever they send arrives in Chippie on its own.
Where: Settings → Integrations → Send jobs from other apps
- Open Settings and the Integrations tab, and find Send jobs from other apps.
- Under Enquiries or Jobs, press Create address.
- Press Copy and paste the address into the other app as its webhook URL (the steps for each app are below).
- Send a test with your own name and phone. Last received on the card shows when it arrived, and it appears in Jobs (or in Enquiries on the Quotes page).
Watch out: a Jobs address needs a job description. Without one, what is sent waits in Enquiries instead. From GoHighLevel, send it as job_description under Custom Data.
Details
Enquiries or Jobs
| Address | What each one sent becomes | Plans |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiries | An enquiry, waiting in Enquiries on the Quotes page for you to make a quote or decline. | Every plan |
| Jobs | A client (or the existing client with the same email or phone), a site at the customer's street address, and a job ready to schedule. You get a New job notification. | Pro and Team |
Something sent to a Jobs address without a job description waits as an enquiry instead, so nothing is lost. Its notification, the top of the enquiry's page and the enquiry email (if you have Also email me every enquiry on) say why. Other fields the app sends are added to the description but do not count as one. If your plan changes to one without Jobs, or the Free plan's monthly job limit is reached, anything sent to a Jobs address arrives as an enquiry the same way.
Each one needs a name, and a phone number or an email.
GoHighLevel
Use the free Webhook action in a workflow:
- In GoHighLevel, open Automation → Workflows and create a workflow.
- Add the trigger Pipeline Stage Changed, with the filters In Pipeline (your pipeline) and Pipeline Stage (the stage that means a confirmed job, for example Confirmed Job). Save the trigger.
- Add the action Webhook (not Custom Webhook). Leave Method on POST and paste your Chippie Jobs address into URL.
- Under Custom Data, press + Add item. Type
job_descriptionas the Key, and for the Value pick the field that says what the customer wants done, such as the contact's Job Description field. Press Save Action. - Publish the workflow and save it.
The contact's name, phone, email and address come across on their own. If the job is not at the contact's own address, add another Custom Data item with the Key address and the field that holds the job's address as its Value: it replaces the contact's address.
To test, make a contact with your own name and phone, give it an opportunity and move it to your Confirmed Job stage. The job appears in Jobs. If it lands in Enquiries instead, it came without a job description: check step 4.
Each opportunity comes across once: moving it back and forward does not add it twice. After you change the workflow, test with a new opportunity, because moving the old one again adds nothing.
The paid Custom Webhook action (US$0.01 a run) works too, but use the free Webhook action for long job descriptions: a quote mark or line break in a description can break a Custom Webhook body. Set Event to CUSTOM, Method to POST and Content-Type to application/json, and use this body:
{"external_id":"{{location.id}}:{{opportunity.id}}","first_name":"{{contact.first_name}}","last_name":"{{contact.last_name}}","email":"{{contact.email}}","phone":"{{contact.phone_raw}}","address1":"{{contact.address1}}","city":"{{contact.city}}","state":"{{contact.state}}","postal_code":"{{contact.postal_code}}","job_description":"{{contact.job_description}}"}
Instead of the full address you can send to https://chippieapp.com/intake with the end of your address (from chi_ on) as a Bearer token.
Zapier, Make and n8n
Send JSON to your address: a Webhooks by Zapier POST step (it needs a paid Zapier plan), a Make HTTP → Make a request module, or an n8n HTTP Request node. Chippie reads these fields:
first_nameandlast_name, ornamephoneandemailaddress(orstreet,city,stateandpostcode)messageorjob_descriptionexternal_id: your own id for the record, so a retry is not saved twice
Any other field is added to the message.
Google Ads lead forms
- In Google Ads, open your lead form and go to Export leads → Webhook.
- Paste your Chippie address as the Webhook URL.
- Enter anything as the Key: Chippie checks the address itself.
- Press Send test data. Last received updates, but no enquiry is created for test data.
Keep the address private
The address works like a password: anyone who has it can send you enquiries or jobs. If it is shared by mistake, press Regenerate, then paste the new address into every app that uses it. The old one stops working at once.
What Chippie answers
The other app sees a success for everything Chippie takes, including a resend. A deleted or regenerated address answers "not found", and a contact with no name, or with no phone and no email, is refused with the reason. Nothing received? Open the workflow's Execution Logs in GoHighLevel to see what Chippie answered.
Your public profile's website form address also accepts GoHighLevel, but only while your profile is on, and it only makes enquiries.
