A building job is rarely a single visit. An extension or renovation runs for weeks — a site measure, a detailed quote, client sign-off, then staged work with progress claims along the way. The admin lives in the gaps between the site and the ute, and that is where jobs slip.
In Chippie you build the quote on-site, itemised line by line — demolition, framing, fit-out, each with its own labour and materials, and GST handled for you. When the client accepts, Chippie turns that quote into a live job and an invoice automatically, so nothing gets re-keyed. As each stage finishes you invoice the progress claim against the same job instead of waiting for completion to get paid.
Variations are the other margin killer. When the client changes the scope, re-quote the extra work as its own line items so there is a clear paper trail and no awkward conversation at the end. Site details — access, parking, the supervisor's number — live in the client's notes, so the next visit and every subcontractor starts with what they need.
