Exporting all your data

Download every record and file your business keeps in Chippie, as spreadsheets and JSON, on every plan.

You can download everything your business keeps in Chippie at any time, on every plan.

Open Settings and go to the Business Info tab.
In the Your data card, click Export all data.
Chippie prepares the export in the background. You'll get a notification when it's ready.
Click Download in the same card. The download is a single .zip file.

What's in the export

The zip holds a spreadsheet (CSV) for each kind of record (clients, quotes, jobs, invoices and more), the same records as JSON, and your uploaded photos, documents and logo. The README file inside explains each folder.

The download stays available for 7 days. After that, click Export all data again for a fresh copy.

Who can export

Only the owner, and anyone the owner has given permission to change the business details, can export. Passwords and accounting-software connections (Xero, MYOB) are never included.
