Before you leave the unit, open a quote, type or dictate the line items, put a price on it and send it.
Looks like you're in United States. See Chippie for United States, with local pricing and tax.
Go to the United States siteChippie is a quotation, job and invoice app for contractors and other service businesses: aircon servicing, renovation, plumbing, electrical and handyman work. It runs the office from your phone, from the first quotation (the app calls it a quote) to the paid invoice, so the whole team works off the same job.
Register for GST and every line shows GST at 9%. Your invoice is headed Tax Invoice and carries your GST registration number, as IRAS asks. Not registered? No GST is shown at all.
There is an app for iPhone and Android, or open it in any browser, and there is nothing to learn.
Simply better.
A family trade business out of Newcastle, Australia: two carpenters and a software engineer. Caleb and Elliott run their business through Chippie every day and shape what it becomes; Jeremiah builds it.
Caleb runs his trade business as a carpenter and arborist. When none of the apps on the market felt right for how he and Elliott actually work, he had the idea to build one that did. He shapes Chippie's features and feel by putting it through real jobs, day in, day out.
Elliott has run his own trade businesses for 40 years, out of a paper diary. He knows exactly what a tool has to do to earn its place: a low learning curve and no fuss. He runs his business through Chippie and tells Jeremiah what works and what doesn't.
Jeremiah is a software engineer and builds Chippie. His philosophy: get the simple, reliable workflow right first, then layer optional AI enhancements on top for the next generation, never the other way around.
NEWCASTLE BORN & BRED
Three jobs to do, with everything else there when you need it.
Before you leave the unit, open a quote, type or dictate the line items, put a price on it and send it.
Details, photos, documents and the material list are saved to the job, and the whole team sees each change.
Turn the job into an invoice with one tap and send it. Your bank and PayNow details are on it, and the client taps "I've paid" once the money is sent.
You'll still keep the books somewhere. Chippie syncs your clients and invoices across to Xero, so the numbers land where your accountant expects them, without typing everything in twice. How the Xero sync works.

In a lot of small contracting businesses one person is on site and another keeps the paperwork moving. Chippie is built for both of you.
Chippie runs in Singapore dollars with 9% GST, Singapore addresses and PayNow on the invoice. Here is what that covers, and where it stops.
IRAS asks a GST-registered business to head the document Tax Invoice and to show your name, address and GST registration number, the invoice number and date, the customer's name and address, a description of the work, the GST rate, the total before GST, the GST amount and the total with GST.
Once you tick that you are GST-registered, a Chippie invoice that charges GST is headed Tax Invoice and carries every one of those, including your GST registration number. Your quotations show the same GST line.
IRAS says a GST-registered business must quote and display prices with GST included, and that covers written quotes. A Singapore business in Chippie starts with the prices it types including GST, and every quotation shows the total with GST.
Below the $1 million registration threshold you leave the GST box unticked, and no GST, GST number or Tax Invoice heading appears anywhere. A business that is not registered must not charge GST at all.
Under the GST InvoiceNow Requirement, a GST-registered business sends its invoice data to IRAS through an InvoiceNow-Ready solution by its GST return date. It already applies to new companies that registered voluntarily from 1 November 2025 and to every voluntary registration from 1 April 2026, and reaches the rest in phases from 1 April 2028.
Chippie makes your quotations, jobs and invoices. It does not send invoice data to IRAS. If InvoiceNow applies to you, send it through your accounting software or one of the free solutions IRAS lists.

Yes. Chippie runs the quotation, the job and the invoice from your phone, in Singapore dollars with 9% GST. There is an Android app on Google Play and an iPhone app on the App Store, and it runs in the browser on a desktop. The free plan covers 20 jobs a month with no card.
Yes. Add your PayNow UEN or mobile number beside your bank account under Settings, Invoicing, and it prints on every invoice. The client pays from their banking app and taps "I've paid" for you to confirm.
No. Chippie makes the invoice; it does not transmit anything to IRAS. If the GST InvoiceNow Requirement applies to your business, send the data through your accounting software or one of the free solutions IRAS lists.
Small trade and field-service businesses: handymen, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, landscapers, arborists, cleaners and the rest. If your work means heading to a site to quote a job, schedule it, then track it as it runs, Chippie is built for you.
Fair enough. Chippie works on the phone they already carry, iPhone or Android, the same full app either way. If they can text, they can use it. Still stuck after a fortnight? Give us a call and we'll set them up.
That's the whole idea. Three things to learn: quote, job, invoice. Nothing else. Start sending quotes right away.
No billboards, no sales team, low overheads. The lower price is how we run the company, not a discount that disappears later. You scale your business. We scale with more users. Support us to make better job management software available to more contractors.
On our Oracle Cloud server in Sydney. You can download all your business data instantly, set up regular backups, and permanently delete it from the server yourself, on demand. The app keeps working and everything stays readable. To create new jobs past that, you move to $25/mo for two users. If you don't, nothing is charged automatically.
Chippie is on Google Play and works the same on both, with the same features and no cut-down version.
No. Chippie is built by a professional software engineer over a full year, not thrown together overnight. The core quote, job and invoice workflow is engineered to be reliable and fast, with AI kept as an optional extra rather than the thing the app leans on. It is tested every day on real carpentry and tree-felling jobs before anything reaches you. If it is not solid enough to run our own business on, it doesn't ship.
Chippie is built by an Australian family trade business that runs on it daily, not an anonymous app that gets abandoned when the founder loses interest. The same people who write the code use it to invoice their own jobs. They can't walk away from it without breaking their own business first. And you can export or delete all your data yourself, any time, so you are never locked in.
Chippie ships every week or two. Here's the whole picture, in order, not by date. We'd rather ship it than announce it.
