Your logo, licences and business numbers on documents

Add your logo, licence numbers and ABN or company number once, and they print on every quote and invoice. What shows where.

Your quotes and invoices carry your logo, business name, licence numbers and ABN or company number. Enter each once in Settings and every document picks it up.

  1. Open Settings and go to the Business Info tab.
  2. In Company Logo, choose a file under Upload a logo: PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF, up to 2 MB. It uploads straight away, and blank space around it is trimmed.

The first time you upload a logo, Chippie asks whether to show your business name beside it: Logo and name, Logo only, or Decide later (which keeps your name showing). To change it later, use Let the logo replace my business name in the Company Logo card. Turn it on only if your logo already includes your name.

Your logo appears on quote and invoice PDFs, the client's online quote and invoice, and above your quote and invoice emails. Emails always print your business name too, because many email apps hide images.

Licence and registration numbers

In Settings > Business Info > Licence and Registration Numbers, tap Add a number and enter the licence name and number, for example a contractor licence. You can add up to 8, and they save as you type.

They print in the footer of every quote and invoice PDF, on the online quote and invoice, and in your quote and invoice emails.

ABN and company numbers

Business numbers are on the Tax tab under Business Numbers: ABN, ACN and Business Number in Australia, and Company Registration Number elsewhere. Your VAT or GST number is on the same tab while you're registered.

They print in the header of your quote and invoice PDFs, under your business name. In Australia an 11-digit ABN prints spaced as XX XXX XXX XXX.

Themes and colours

Theme & Appearance changes how the app looks for your business: the theme, and the colours for clients, quotes, jobs and invoices. Your quotes and invoices keep their own layout.

Common questions#

Why doesn't my logo show in the email?
Many email apps hide images until the reader allows them. Your business name is always printed in emails, so the email still says who it's from.
How do I show only my logo, without my business name?
In Settings, Business Info, Company Logo, tick Let the logo replace my business name. Use it only if your logo includes your name. Emails always show the name.
Why isn't my ABN on the email or the online quote?
Business numbers print on the PDF quote and invoice, which the email attaches and the online page lets the client download.
Where do I put my contractor licence number?
Settings, Business Info, Licence and Registration Numbers. It prints in the footer of every quote and invoice.
Does my app theme change how my quotes look?
No. Themes and colours change the app only. Quotes and invoices have their own fixed layout with your logo and details.
