Managing clients

Add clients one at a time or bulk import a messy contact list, and keep every quote, job and invoice for a customer in one place.

In any job management system, the client record is the anchor: every quote, job and invoice hangs off it, so the full history for a customer lives in one place instead of scattered across texts and emails. Chippie works the same way.

Add a client

A client record holds a name, email, phone and street address. Add one from the Clients screen, or on the fly while creating a quote. The address does double duty: it powers the map and tap-to-navigate on job pages, so getting to site is one tap from the job.

Bulk import when you are switching

If your contacts live in a phone export, a spreadsheet, or an old app, you do not have to retype them. Paste the messy list into Chippie's bulk import and it turns the text into client records, up to 50 at a time. This is the fastest way to move a whole business across.

The client history

Open a client and you see everything you have ever done for them: quotes sent, jobs done, invoices paid and unpaid. Next time they call about "that job from last spring", the answer is on the screen, not in a shoebox. Notes, photos and documents attach to the client and their work too.

Common questions

How many clients can I have?

There is no client limit on any plan. The free plan limits jobs per month, not clients.

Can I import from another job management app?

Yes. Export your contacts from the old app in any text format and paste them into the bulk import. See Getting started for the setup order.
