Simpro pricing: what people pay, and what you sign

Simpro doesn't publish a price. Review sites put it at US$150 to US$300 a user a month, and one customer reported NZ$200 a user plus NZ$50 for the app. On top of that comes a setup fee, a contract that renews automatically, and 30 days after you leave to get your data out.

Key takeaways

  1. Simpro publishes no price. Its pricing page asks you to request one, tailored to team size and add-ons. Checked 28 October 2026.
  2. Reported figures vary: US$150 to US$300 a user a month on one review site, NZ$200 a user plus NZ$50 for the app from one customer. Neither is Simpro's number.
  3. Expect a setup fee on top, of a size you learn only from the quote.
  4. Simpro's terms: services renew automatically, add-ons can't be dropped mid-term, and you get 30 days after leaving to back up your data.
  5. Simpro and AroFlo belong to the same company, Simpro Group.
  6. Chippie Pro is $25 a month including 2 users, and Team is $45 including 4, with no setup fee and a free plan to start.

What does Simpro cost?#

We make Chippie, so read this as one side of the comparison. Every Simpro fact here comes from Simpro's own pages or names who said it, with the date we checked.

Simpro's pricing page shows a Base Plan and a list of add-ons, each with a Request Pricing button instead of a price. Its own FAQ says the price depends on how many people you have in the office and in the field and on the add-ons you pick, billed monthly or annually, plus an initial setup fee.

What people report paying

With no published price, the numbers in circulation come from others, and they don't agree:

  • US$150 to US$300 a user a month, from Field Service Guide's review (last reviewed April 2026). It gives no source, and several other sites copy it.
  • NZ$200 a user a month, plus NZ$50 a user for the mobile app, with setup of about NZ$6,000 and a minimum 12-month term, from a New Zealand customer reviewing Simpro on the Xero App Store.

Neither is Simpro's figure, and your quote could land well away from both. That gap is the reason to get the whole number in writing.

What does a Simpro contract commit you to?#

Your price and term live in your order, which isn't public. Simpro's general terms and conditions (published September 2026) are, and four clauses matter most to a small business:

  • It renews automatically unless terminated under the agreement or your order (clause 7).
  • Add-ons stay until the term ends. On anything longer than monthly, a service you add during the term is billed from the day it's added and "may not be removed during the term" (clause 10(c)).
  • Monthly plans need 30 days' written notice to end, effective on the next billing date after it (clause 14).
  • You get 30 days to take your data. After termination you can get a backup for 30 days; from day 31, Simpro may delete it permanently (clause 13).

One customer on the Xero App Store reported Simpro "relied on a 60-day notice provision to impose a further 12-month renewal". Check your own order for the notice window before the anniversary comes round.

Simpro and AroFlo are the same company#

If your shortlist reads "Simpro or AroFlo", it has one owner on it twice. Simpro Group runs Simpro, AroFlo, BigChange and ClockShark, and says more than 24,000 trade businesses use them. When it launched its Lightning AI platform on 13 May 2026, it went to Simpro and AroFlo customers together, priced as an uplift on existing contracts.

The Chippie vs AroFlo page has AroFlo's published starting price.

Is Simpro built for a business your size?#

Simpro pitches itself at businesses with "five or 200 staff", and its Base Plan reads that way: inventory and purchasing, project management, asset maintenance, business intelligence reporting and support for running several companies. Setup is a project, with an implementation consultant who can spend days at your office.

  • Reviews split sharply. The Xero App Store rates it 3.6 out of 5 from 69 reviews: 46% five-star and 24% one-star.
  • On SoftwareAdvice AU, a clunky interface and a steep learning curve during implementation are commonly reported, checked 12 June 2026. Those are some reviewers' experiences, not facts about every user.
  • The same depth is why larger contractors choose it.
  • If you're a crew of one to ten, weigh what the setup fee and the contract buy you against how much of the Base Plan you'd use.

When is Simpro the better choice?#

  • You carry stock. Inventory and purchasing are in Simpro's Base Plan; Chippie doesn't track stock.
  • Your work is projects and maintenance contracts. Project management, asset maintenance and job costing are built in.
  • Your books are in MYOB. Simpro connects to it; Chippie syncs with Xero only.
  • You want someone to set it up for you. Simpro's onboarding is a service, with a consultant on site if you want one.

When is Chippie the better choice?#

  • You want to see the price before you talk to anyone.
  • You're one to ten people and don't want a setup fee, an implementation or a contract that renews itself.
  • You want to try it today: the free plan covers 20 jobs a month with no card.
  • Quotes, jobs, invoices, scheduling and GST is the whole job, from your phone on site.

How do I leave Simpro with my data?#

  1. Read your order

It holds your term and how much notice you must give before it renews. Mark that date.

  2. Ask what the backup contains

In writing, before you give notice: which records, which format, and how you receive it.

  3. Give written notice

Australian customers contract with Simpro Software Pty Ltd, and its terms name accounts@simpro.com.au for notices.

  4. Take the backup inside 30 days

From day 31 after termination, Simpro may delete your data. Save PDFs of the quotes and invoices you need while you still have access.

  5. Send us your customer list

Export it as a CSV and we import it into Chippie free, usually the same day. If your invoices went to Xero, Chippie Pro can import those customers from Xero too.

Chippie vs Simpro: your questions#

How much does Simpro cost per month?
Simpro doesn't publish a price; its pricing page asks you to request one, tailored to team size and add-ons. Field Service Guide estimates US$150 to US$300 a user a month without naming a source, and a New Zealand customer on the Xero App Store reported NZ$200 a user a month plus NZ$50 for the mobile app. Neither is Simpro's figure. Checked 28 October 2026.
Does Simpro charge a setup fee?
Yes. Simpro says there's an initial setup fee covering onboarding, training and data migration, priced by how complex your business is. It doesn't publish the amount. The same New Zealand customer reported about NZ$6,000.
How long is a Simpro contract, and can I cancel?
Your term is set in your order, which isn't public. Simpro's terms say services renew automatically, and a monthly subscription can be ended by either side on at least 30 days' written notice. On a longer term, add-ons you take up during it can't be removed until it ends. One customer reported a 60-day notice window that triggered a further 12-month renewal.
What happens to my data if I leave Simpro?
Simpro's terms give you 30 days after termination to get a backup of your data. From day 31 Simpro may delete it permanently. Ask in writing what the backup contains and in what format before you give notice.
Is there a Simpro free trial?
No. Simpro offers a tailored demo with a local consultant instead of a self-serve trial. Chippie has a free plan covering 20 jobs a month: sign up, send a quote, no call needed.
Who owns Simpro, and is AroFlo an alternative?
Simpro Group runs Simpro, AroFlo, BigChange and ClockShark, and its Lightning AI upgrade went out to Simpro and AroFlo customers on the same day. Moving from one to the other changes the software, not the company setting your price. Our Simpro Lightning guide covers that upgrade and its cost.
What do reviewers say about Simpro?
Opinions split. On the Xero App Store it rates 3.6 out of 5 from 69 reviews, with 46% five-star and 24% one-star. Its mobile app held 4.1 stars from 510 ratings on Apple's Australian App Store and 3.6 from 904 on Google Play on 29 October 2026. On SoftwareAdvice AU, a clunky interface and a steep learning curve during implementation are commonly reported. Those are some reviewers' experiences, not facts about every user.
What is Simpro better at?
Running a bigger operation. Inventory and purchasing, project management, asset maintenance, job costing and multi-company support are all in its Base Plan, and Chippie does none of them in that depth.
Is Chippie cheaper than Simpro?
Chippie's prices are published: free for one person, Pro $25 a month including 2 users, Team $45 a month including 4 users, with no setup fee and no lock-in contract. Simpro doesn't publish a price to compare against, so get its full quote, setup fee included, before you decide.
